La Coja Dansa was born in the Faculty of Arts of Altea in 2000 and became professional in 2004. Since then, under the direction of Tatiana Clavel and Santi de la Fuente, they have generated a multitude of works, interventions and activities related to dance. contemporary from its headquarters in Valencia.
They have been selected in 2007, in 2012, in 2019 and in 2021 by the Circuit de la Red de Salas Alternativas with the shows Mucho que Perder, Amagatall, Deshielo and LlocJocXoc. In the same way, they participated in the Danza a Escena program, organized by the Circuit of Publicly Owned Theaters and Auditoriums and the INAEM in 2011 with Retrats Habitats, in 2013 with Amagatall and in 2020 with Deshielo. With Atlas they were selected by the program Circula! in 2016. They have also been selected in residency programs such as El Graner (Barcelona), LasNaves (Valencia), EspacioInestable (Valencia), La Nave del Duende (Casar de Cáceres), the Mediterranean Dance Centre (Croacia) or Espai La Granja - IVC (València). In 2018 they received the Award for Best Dance Show from the Institut Valencià de Cultura with their work Medul·la.
They have been selected in competitions such as Masdanza (Canary Islands), Burgos-New York, Dansalt (Salt, Girona) or the Seville Choreographic Contest but they have not won any, and they have been present at festivals such as L'Obert Dansa (València), the Mostra de Peces Curtes, the Marató de l'Espectacle or the Dansalona in Barcelona, the Festival Dansa a Elx (Alacant ), the Tensdansa in Terrassa, the Intempèries Festival, the Dansa València, the EllosBailanSolos in Madrid, the ALT'09 in Vigo, the Periferias in Huesca, the Vitoria-Gasteiz International Theater Festival, the Quinzena de Dança de Almada (Portugal), the Forum for Independent Theater Groups of Alexandria (Egypt), Les Repérages de Lille (France), the TanecPraha (Czech Republic), the InShadows (Portugal) or the Youmein and the Haraka of Tangier (Morocco). They have participated in international choreographic meetings events in Rio de Janeiro (2012) and Munich (2013).
